Reforger Posted May 29, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 29, 2017 I definitely wanted to share my newest CIB. This is the first one I've seen with this type of wide German WWII pin on the back. The CIB seems to be made of Zinc. Due to the material and pin, this CIB must be a very early post-war piece. Anyway, it's a pretty cool badge. Kadet Posted May 29, 2017 Share #2 Posted May 29, 2017 That is very cool. It does look like a WWII german late war zinc badge...

BILL THE PATCH Posted May 29, 2017 Share #4 Posted May 29, 2017 The pin looks like a iron cross pin, excellent pick up. Sent from my XT1031 using Tapatalk

z19 Posted June 10, 2017 Share #6 Posted June 10, 2017 The pin and hook on the back is old stock from one of the German firms that made Close Combat Clasps. Really cool piece!!

Reforger Posted June 13, 2017 Author Share #9 Posted June 13, 2017 Thanks for the interest. There are no markings on it. I saw a CIB with a similar needle that was sold recently, maybe you mean that one.

Nebelhund Posted July 18, 2017 Share #11 Posted July 18, 2017 I knew I'd see this badge on here. I was very sorry not to have won that auction. They come up so rarely. Excellent and beautiful CIB!
Marksman Posted April 11, 2020 Share #12 Posted April 11, 2020 Here the pin back of my Grandpa's Close Combat Clasp in Silver. Looks like the maker was the same. To bad the maker is still unknown.
Reforger Posted April 11, 2020 Author Share #13 Posted April 11, 2020 Very interesting, it does look the same. Maybe some Nahkampfspange expert knows who the manufacturer is?!
