Early German Made Combat Infantryman Badge

I definitely wanted to share my newest CIB. This is the first one I've seen with this type of wide German WWII pin on the back. The CIB seems to be made of Zinc. Due to the material and pin, this CIB must be a very early post-war piece. Anyway, it's a pretty cool badge.

BILL THE PATCH

The pin looks like a iron cross pin, excellent pick up.

The pin and hook on the back is old stock from one of the German firms that made Close Combat Clasps. Really cool piece!!

Thanks for the interest. There are no markings on it. I saw a CIB with a similar needle that was sold recently, maybe you mean that one.

I knew I'd see this badge on here. I was very sorry not to have won that auction. They come up so rarely.

Excellent and beautiful CIB!

Here the pin back of my Grandpa's Close Combat Clasp in Silver.

Looks like the maker was the same. To bad the maker is still unknown.
