Hi all, I was recently fortunate enough to come across something I don't usually collect, which is older foul weather gear. I am really impressed with how this held up, from my research it looks to be 50s dated I will provide tag and stamp information for you guys to confirm.

I have the USN pullover and overalls that came as a set in the same condition so I think it is safe to assume they were used together. The color has not faded much if at all, the surface staining looks easy to clean and is vintage. The waterproof seals on the seams are tight and flexible with no peeling whatsoever, there is early stages of patina on the suspenders hooks and clasps but fully functional and most of the paint remains entirely. No hardware is missing, nothing is loose or popping out as far as I can tell, no loose seams. Perfectly functional shape to be honest with you.

I don't quite know what to do with this though to be honest, I already have the improved rubberized version that superseded it with mid 90s dated top and late 80s bottoms if you'd like me to post I would gladly. I might be looking to sell these to the right collector, USN is not my area, I am more of a vietnam-post vietnam collector and though I dig this, I know this is someone else's dream. I have an idea of what they are worth already and what I would want if someone wishes to relocate this.

Tags are shown, and two areas are stamped on the pullover, once on the hood and once on the throat area in green lettering M197149

Sorry for picture placement, I don't use a photo uploading service I need recommendations.

Actually WWII contracts. The one, 37485, is from about Oct - Nov 1943. Can't read the date on the other one. But NXSX is a WWII Contract prefix.

Well, I am even more amazed that it held up now.

Thanks a lot, Hope I can get it to someone who will preserve it.
