Info Needed On Theater Made 33rd Armored Regiment Unit Insignia

I believe that this 33rd Armored Regiment unit insignia is theater made and was perhaps made in Germany. Can anyone tell me if this was a German made insignia and when the insignia no longer had the tiger on top (or when mine dates from)? Any help is appreciated!

Hi,

 

I have this DI as 2nd Squadron 33rd Armor Regiment.

It's a German Made

GM 2nd Bn 33rd Armored Regt (cavalry units used squadrons) and is UA, which is why there is a tiger on top

 

other UA examples have 1, 2, or 3 on top, as well as a pickle tank

 

all from the 50s and maybe early 60s

Based on personal observation, Pickles and Tigers were used at least until 1978.
