Could be anything as far as that shadow goes. Is there a tag showing the date it was made? The suit looks like it may have been put together, I highly doubt anyone wore it on duty the way it's set up.

The tag says:

Coveralls, Flying, Indian orange

Type II, Spec. No. MIL-C-5390F

(WEP) Contract Number: 5374

Size 44 Reg

All stiching is the same. A wide, hand sewn style.

The SEA Participant patch is real.

There use to be another patch sewn on the left shoulder. It has the shape of a Thai flag "badge" style. Same wide sewn style based on the similar hole placement.

Yes, the patches look good, but they seem to have been added to the suit to enhance it, or maybe someone did it for a souvenir type thing. That ghost patch was maybe machine sewn? The others do look hand sewn like you said. If that style of name tag was worn the name went on the left side and the USAF was not normally used. Anything is possible, but it sure looks like a put together for whatever reason one to me. Are there more ghost shapes behind the other patches?

Missing patch.

Looks like a triangle pointing down??

Thanks for showing - As a former member of the US Air Force Communications Command (formally Service), I enjoy seeing these - they don't show up often.

No shadows behind the attached patches.
