A WW1 Era Safe Conduct Pass Issued by the Germans

At least I think it is. It came with a small grouping to Sgt William Harley of Battery B, 322nd Field Artillery. Being a WW1 veteran, of course he isn't around to ask about it!

The size is 4 3/8 x 6 1/2 inches. The paper stock is actually pretty good. I think it is old rather than a modern era copy.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Thanks!

Kim

I'm not sure why the attachment is showing the way it is but select the file, say you want to save it and then it will open.

That's really interesting. I have a few propaganda leaflets and save conduct passes, but all from WWII. I've never seen one from WWI before.

Great item, I think that propaganda leaflets are are great sub-category in paper items. I prefer the type dropped on us since those are in English.
