Siamundo Posted May 13, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2017 This patch really appealed to me but I don't know why especially since I do not know what the symbolism behind the patch is. The only reference I can find to ZP-3 is for Navy Airship Patrol Squadron 3. I am guessing he screwbird character might represent Anti-Submarine Squadron 33, VS-33. I have no idea what connection existed between the two squadrons. Based on information I could find it does look like the two squadrons might have been briefly in existence at the same time, although they were based on opposite coasts-ZP-3 on the East Coast and VS-33 on the West.
