Terry K. Posted May 12, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 12, 2017 This is one I've had for a few years. It has fading on the shoulders from being on a hanger. Markings include movie ownership ones. What do you all think? Real, fake 41 or 47?

MCDUFF Posted May 12, 2017 Share #3 Posted May 12, 2017 Its a real P41. I had similar one with the same fading on the shoulders and same Universal stamp stamp. Nice shirt!
GIJive Posted May 12, 2017 Share #4 Posted May 12, 2017 Real. The stitching indicates it was made by Keystone, the neck size and manufacturing tag is just missing. WWII manufacture P-41.
Schnicklfritz Posted May 12, 2017 Share #5 Posted May 12, 2017 Real. The stitching indicates it was made by Keystone, the neck size and manufacturing tag is just missing. WWII manufacture P-41. Ditto, a real WW2 Keystone manufactured jacket with Costume House stamps added. A nice one too!
Kurt Barickman Posted May 12, 2017 Share #6 Posted May 12, 2017 Yes, it is a real P-41, just costume stamping. Kurt

louie Posted May 20, 2017 Share #11 Posted May 20, 2017 Sadly many studios in the seventies and eighties threw away tons of good uniforms, and web gear etc. It was cheaper to go through costume houses like Western Costume, etc. A friend was at MGM when there were dumpsters full of British WW1 web gear, just tossed. Broadarrowmaint Posted October 20, 2017 Share #14 Posted October 20, 2017 Hey I'm sorry to bring up an old post, but I recently found a p41 hat jacket at a goodwill and it has the single row stitching on the pockets. I have no doubt that it's original, it even has a laundry tag that might depict when the last owner saw service with it? Who knows, but I'm curious if Keystone was the only manufacturer who did the single row stitching? Any input to that? If I can figure out how to post a picture I will, my iPhone files are too large I guess. But anyways it has the square rather than round pockets such as the later versions had and the material is all different shades off each other. I'll post pictures for clarity when I can but does anyone have any reference material for keystone manufacturing p41s? I'm very curious about this jacket of mine.
