23rd Fighter Group DI large pin back WWII

Would like to hear some opinions on this pin. It looks to be an original 23rd Fighter Group WWII pin. It's rather large pin for a DI compared to the army DIs.

 

Mods: I couldn't find the USAAF DI section, so if you feel this should be posted elsewhere, please move.
