Thanks guys. That is what I was also thinking, but wasn't a 100% sure. Was the time period right, 60s/70s?

Subdued patches were mandated Army wide from 1968 onward, so more of the late 60's and into the 70's. I am not sure how long that manufacturer was in production. Fair enough to call it from the late Cold War era.

Kalka still makes them today. They are just not worn. I ordered some last year.

Do you know what year they stated to make patches like this, to include the full color versions?
