A Japanese made Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron 6 Jacket patch worn by then Lieutenant Leonard A. Campbell in 1957. Per his certificate, Campbell qualified as a helicopter pilot on 28 February 1957 and was assigned to HELASRON-6 on 14 April 1957. He left the squadron in 1958.

Here’s a belt buckle from HSL-2 Invaders.

I searched online and only find mention of Squadron 32 not 2

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Probably an error, the INVADERS were always known as HSL-32

History of HSL-32 Invaders
Helicopter Antisubmarine Light Squadron 32 (HSL-32) was established at NAS Norfolk, Virginia, on 17 August 1973, formed from a nucleus of personnel from HSL-30. The Invaders initially were equipped with four SH-2D and four SH-2F Seasprite LAMPS I (Light Airborne Multipurpose System I) helicopters. HSL-32 disestablished in 1994.

HELWINGRES (Helicopter Wing Reserve) USNR - Tail Code "NW": Established Jun 1975, disestablished 31 May 2007.  Remaining reserve helicopter squadrons continue to use tail code NW even though the wing no longer exists.

Some various odds and ends including a couple of Centurian patches and an HM-12 patch which was assigned to Airborne Mine Countermeasures Unit Bravo which was part of Operation End Sweep which cleaned up mines in Haiphong Harbor as part of the peace talks to end the war in Vietnam

HS-8 from their first deployment aboard the USS Princeton circa 1957-1958. The Indian or Native American figure supposedly represented a member of the 'Lost tribe of Fugawii' as in, 'Where the Fugawii?' (If you say a few times, you should get the joke 😄)

An early HS-2 from their 1954 cruise aboard the USS Point Cruz. Attributed to (later) RADM William H. Harris when he was assigned to the squadron from 1953-1956.

Another HS-2 set from their 1958-1959 USS Yorktown cruise. Right side of the scroll has a little damage though. Should say ABAURIBUS
