Boyd Bunion Stanford Purple Heart Search

Hey Everyone,

 

I have been searching for the Purple Heart of my great uncle, Boyd Bunion Stanford. He was killed at Iwo Jima, and was a member of the Co. C 2nd Armored Amphibious Battalion. He was killed a couple of months after my Dad was born, so they never met. My Grandmother, Boyd's sister, passed away last year, and I thought it would be amazing to give my Dad his uncle's Purple Heart. Boyd's nickname was Bun, and he is buried in the same cemetery as my grandmother.

 

I will buy it from whoever has the medal or medals. It would really mean a lot to be able to give this to my Dad. It would mean a lot to him.

 

I know Boyd Stanford's Purple Heart has been sold on this website before, but the person who bought it said he re-sold it, and doesn't know who he re-sold it to.

Correction - I'm sorry, Bun was killed a couple of weeks after my Dad was born, not a few months.
