11th ABN Div "ANGELS" 188th Inf Reg Co. E Boot

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks: What is this? Does anyone know what this is? Was it an award...and the numbered?

This is a wooden boot on block of wood with 11th ABN Div Patch "ANGELS" with 188th Co. E....and on the bottom "1996"

I found two (2) of these....and they look "old"....and my "limited" research showed that the 11th ABN was in Southern Germany...down by Augsburg.

No one....these are really small....they aren't big. I'm surprized no one can ID these. I was thinking for a Parachute jump or...????

Maybe they were made in 1996, the 11th was disbanded by then, they look like book ends.

Hi: They are pretty small..see pictures....can't be book ends. Reunion maybe...hmmm. The 11th ABN Div was de-activated way before 1996

It looks like maybe they might be commemorative reunion placeholders for a dinner table, like they would have one at each guests place at the table.

Just a guess....

Hi Folks: I have rec'd two (2) replies from key members of the 11th ABN association and in both cases....they couldn't ID the items but this think the same....an item from a "past" association get-together/meeting. I don't know if there is interest out there for these...but I liked them. Thanks,
