I started re-researching a Navy veteran and found that he was on Boat #34 from the Samuel Chase (APA-26) for the Normandy landings. There are a LOT of photos and footage of boats from the Samuel Chase, including the iconic photo we all know. Being that his boat would have been marked "PA-26 34," I was wondering if anyone has any photos of this specific craft on June 6?

Has the identity of the LCVP in the iconic photo ever been determined? Critical past has great footage showing a few boats, in particular #30 and #1 on the beaches.
