This topic is for all Cruiser type hulls, both Light, Heavy and Nuke including CA, CL, CLG, CC, CG, CGN. Guided Missile Light Cruiser in service 1944 to 1979. She was converted to CLG-5 in 1957 and redesignated CG-5 in 1975. During the Vietnam War she was also the Flagship of the 7th Fleet homeported at Yokosuka, Japan. She was a squared away ship with beautiful wood decks, I'd usually see her pierside beside the USS MIDWAY when she was in port.
