vietvet7071 Posted April 24, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 24, 2017 I found this news article while researching a Vet in the local newspaper archives. Frankly, I've never heard of it and I thought Cooties was a strange name for a Veteran's group. It's dated January of 1934. Sorry it is not a better scan. KevinBeyer Posted April 26, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 26, 2017 This article is referring to the Military Order of the Serpent and its auxiliary, the Military Order of the Lizard. The Military Order of the Cootie, as you may already know, is part of the V.F.W. For more information on the M.O.S., see this previous post on the Forum: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1981-military-order-of-the-serpent-collection/ Kevin
