History Pickers Posted April 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2017 After being packed away for 20+ years, I "rediscovered" these A-7 masks in my collection while setting up a new room. Neat and rare stuff
History Pickers Posted April 23, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted April 23, 2017 Not sure exactly what the B.L.B equipment box is ... maybe for testing mask pressure?
northcoastaero Posted April 23, 2017 Share #3 Posted April 23, 2017 Nice find. Try the following sources for parts if you wish to complete the masks: bellsaviation.com flighthelmet.com whatpriceglory.com made reproductions of the A-8B masks. May have some misc. parts available. flyboyplus.com garciaaviation.com aviation-antiques.com ebay.com
History Pickers Posted April 23, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted April 23, 2017 Thanks. I've got several of the repo bladders I bought from Garcia years ago, but I just hate to put a shiny new green bag on on these masks. They're too fragile to display with helmets, so I'll probably keep them archived and stored until I find a safe way of preserving and displaying them. The rubber is showing its age....
