bbmilitaria Posted October 16, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2008 This is one of my all time favorite helmets. This helmet tells this Marine's service history and could speak volumes! Interesting to note that this Marine was issued this WWII M1 Helmet with a HBT spot pattern cover in 1965. He touched up his operations after the war and you can still see the faded writing underneather the darker ink. I was also able to get his embroidered tour jacket and a photocopied image of him at the veterans home in 2001 and a few other assorted items.
