DATING SUB PATCHES- ONE BESUGO, OTHER NO I.D. 'BOOT'?!

I think these are late '50s, early '60s. I find zero refs. on the black boot. both from a navy careerist who served aboard the besugo. (sorry no name) many thanks, all.

The second patch is the "black shoe Navy", as opposed to the brown shoe navy (and white shoe Navy)

 

USS BESUGO was decommissioned in 1958 which is the era for your patch

thanks for the swift response, 'sailor! is the 'black shoe' patch (same era as basugo, yes?) scarce? and what's a fair value for them both, please? much obliged, david

Yes, same era but as a novelty patch maybe $10-$15

 

The BESUGO patch would go for $20 to $50 to a submarine collector

Well, it held at $48 to the end, then the two deep pocket bidders sniped it....... closed at $227.50

 

Where are these guys when I'm listing patches
