I am assuming these are British made not just because of the pin on the back but also because the only one I ever saw an a card had MECo. on it. MECo. Was a British manufacturer of field gear. This is a very nice enamel on brass badge.

Sorry, I don't think this badge is British-made. MECO was based in Chicago, Il.; it may stand for Military Equipment Company. The pin-style is one of several variants on these badges. Check open and closed listings on eBay and you will see the different pins. Check closed listings and you will see one badge on the original card with "MECO, Chicago" at the bottom of the card.
