Here is a Chinese military bugle brought back from the Korean War by Chaplain Andrew H. Beahm who was assigned to with the 7th Cavalry Regiment. The 7th Cavalry was involved in some of the worst fighting of the Korean War. Those battles include Hwanggan, Poksong-Dong, Kwanni, and the Battle of the Pusan Perimeter. The 7th Cavalry received three Presidential Unit Citations for its actions during the Korean War. Beahm received a Bronze Star Medal “For meritorious service in Korea, 5 April to 18 December, 1951.” The bugle is numbered 7310 and has Chinese characters painted on the inside of the bell. The mouthpiece has been replaced. Here is the bugle with other Chinese military items. The photograph is of Beahm conducting a service during the Korean War.
