30-Cal Posted April 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 1, 2017 This is my first Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife, a second pattern B2 which are widely believed to be Wilkinson Sword manufactured. I did my due diligence and research, but I'm far from knowing all there is to know about these. One thing I do know is that there are plenty of fakes out there. I'm pretty sure that this one is good but I want to get your opinions on it. My concern is the small grind mark under the guard. I know that some of these knives by other makers were marked in this area. Does that throw up any red flags or is it likely it just came out of the factory that way? The Broad Arrow B2 is mis-stamped a bit, with most of the B and 2 missing, looking at internet pictures this appears quite common due to the nature that they are hand stamped. These aren't cheap, especially in this condition, so I just want to make sure I didn't get a fake. Thanks for looking!
