Pararescue Beret Badge

This 22M badge from Meyers seems very early time period. Pre 1960s?

The reference I have says the pararescue badge was authorized in 1966 however did not make it out into the field for wear until the early 1970s. There is a sterling NS Meyer pararescue badge which probably predates your badge which I would date somewhere between the 1970s to 1980s.

Agreed,a midish-lateish 70s on example.

 

Those Meyer 22M Sterling Pararescue ones would be early made ones right after this badge was adopted 1966, soon after, I believe 1968-69, we start to see the newer types of 1/20 Silver Filled.

Wings say L-22. Jump wings are 1/20th filled.
