Airborne tab help - RED & YELLOW

Tom,

When I saw the image and looked closely at the construction, I immediately said to myself "USMC Tour jacket arc." This looks like the same types of arcs that you see for countries visited etc.

I would note that the angular edges of the tab remind me of the red with white lettered "airborne" tab associated with wear above the 5th AF SSI. These red tabs were worn by Air Search and Rescue men during WWII and into Korea. I can't say whether they were worn later.

I would say that the colors and the shape make me think that it is definitely not a patch worn with an army SSI.

It could be the arc for MACV SOG Security Commando Unit...if you dont want it i d buy it off you

as i need one to complete a reenactors unifrom 1st pattern jungle jacket with it if you like
