Wartime Beo Gam Survival Vest?

Recommended Posts

Got it several months ago from eBay, the pattern and cut looks good to me but I'm still doubting about its material which I've never seen before. Any ideas? I'll appreciate any inputs.

My gut is a no go. I'm not an expert but this isn't even beo gam to me.

Edit: after seeing the WAF pics im prepared to be wrong.

If anything I would call this duck hunter.

At one time, I had a USAF in country made duck hunter pattern survival vest that was in

a similar configuration. The vest also came with a 1966 contract SRU-21/P mesh survival

vest. I have seen photos of pre 1967 era F-105 pilots wearing the duck hunter vests. The

National Air & Space Museum in D.C. has a mannequin on display wearing USAF F-105 pilot

flight gear equipped with an in country made duck hunter pattern survival vest. Hope this

helps.

I believe there are at least 4 to 5 different materials with this kind of wartime incountry made survival vest. Thanks for the great info!
