Last weekend I thought it would be high time to finish this little project: Trying to build a "copy" of the depicted APC:

I addition I decided to invigorate the scene with some additional figures and details. Here's the result:

Top notch Lars! The figures add a lot and really provide a nice complement to your track. Another fantastic project!

Nice work Lars. The addition of the extra figures and equipment really puts this diorama over the top. Awesome painting of the figures and weathering of the equipment.

Super Job Lars! Fantastic rendition of a BLACK HORSE ACAV.

In 1970-71 we (1/5 Mech) at times worked along side the 11th ACR in III Corps. As we would pass them I always thought to myself "GOOD GRIEF" these poor guys don't have any RPG screens for their M113s!!! May I add that your "go by photograph" was probably taken in the motor pool area of a base camp. Maybe Xuan Loc which was my last AO in late December 1971.

Here is a very well done 1969 documentary on the 11th ACR from their website.

All the best and keep at it! I LOVE to see your skilled "works of art!"

Great work.

I did the same kit when it came out and got into it with the red dirt look.

It was a great for sure.

That was at least 30 years ago.

UUUUUm.

Thanks for the walk back in time.
