For $2 I won't be butt hurt if it's not.

No markings I can find but sure seems good.

Any help greatly appreciated!

BTW I did type it correctly in the title as 'GARAND' but apparently the iPhone doesn't recognize one of the most prevalent rifles of ww2.

Thanks to all who replied!

Based on the webbing weave and hardware, I would say that it very well may be a Danish sling rather than USGI.

Danish slings also have a flat buckle as seen below. Also compare the weave of the webbing...

The end of the danish sling is different. Look at the crimp.

Both styles of crimping can be found on Danish slings. You may very well be correct regarding the center bar on the adjustment buckle as I cannot definitively say whether or not I have seen one with a raised bar. All I can say is that both the color and weave of the webbing look to be consistent with faded green examples of Dane slings so it was worth looking into the possibility.

Man I dunno. Looks the same to me. Note the danish end clips seem blued but the end of this one seems phosphated?

Looks foreign to me but either way you saved yourself a few bucks. The cmp sells them for $5. If you dig around in the box at the north store there are always a few WWII slings in the box but the regulars snag the nice dated ones as soon as they are put out.
