Mr-X Posted October 12, 2008 Author Share #27 Posted October 12, 2008 Now that's the way to have a weekend! One hint: Your glasses in the last picture... too new. Yeah mate, I know about the specs. I have a pair of 1942 American Optical Company specs that belonged to an engineer soldier that I normally wear. They were the only thing I forgot to pack. The specs in the pic are my new $600 French designer specs, which I proceeded to scratch with my M-

Yek-Yek What did you fire with the Bazooka.... Johan Yeah, I know. I'll never live it down In the day time shots I've even taken my specs off, but it was too hard to see the Germans at dusk without them. The Bazooka rockets are made from 600ml coke bottles. They have a small black powder propelling charge. Notice the one being loaded and the second rocket on the left.

Austringer Posted November 19, 2008 Share #36 Posted November 19, 2008 I'm just thinking how much fun it would of been to be an arty observer sitting in the tree line. Lots of troops in the open soon to be ground beef. Great pictures! The 1919 NFA, if so, what manufacture? Jason

Austringer Posted November 20, 2008 Share #39 Posted November 20, 2008 Someons'es going to have to fill in as to what "NFA" is. Sorry about that didn't notice the country you were located in. NFA = National Firearms Act A lot of people refer to any automatic or destructive device as a NFA firearm, but that's something that typically "American". Nice looking 1919. Blake_E Posted November 24, 2008 Share #44 Posted November 24, 2008 hehe that looks more like that 'Kenny' character than you Leigh, but the other one is uncanny.. Actually reminds me of this time back in school when we went out to the Warrumbungles, and on the way we stopped of at this antique/museum type of place. All my friends came running out of this one room, saying how they had seen THE absolute identical person, to me, in an Aussie regiment photo back from WW1. They couldn't believe the likeness, but sadly, we were running late and had to keep on with the tour, and i never saw the photo
