And here's a couple thatcame with a US Army chocolate chip uniform from U.S.M.T.M. (Saudi Arabia). Quite a interesting item. I just about to post the uniform in the uniform section for viewing.

I posted this a million years ago in another thread, but figured I would post it here as well. This is the one that I wore through Desert Shield and Desert Storm.  On the DBDU, the name tape was US made by a shop right outside of the Ogden Gate coming out of FT Riley. The name tag below in Arabic just reads "1st Lt Henderson."  The camel tongue is made out of a very stiff Naugahyde. My unit was the only US unit that was a direct support for the Coalition Forces. We were located near Hafir Al-Batin at Log Base Saudi-South.

 

During Desert Shield and Desert Storm, these camel tongues were highly sought-after and wearing them led to a lot of jealousy. I actually had to get a set of orders for the fob because so many higher-ranking officers would tell me that it wasn't authorized and that I needed to take it off immediately. One of the men who told me I needed to remove it was the assistant 22nd SUPCOM Commander. After I pulled out my orders, his attitude changed and he asked "could you get one of those for me?"

I've picked up a few of these ranks since I started this thread on 2017.  I got hooked on collecting these Camel Tongue Rank Fobs when I was writing, "Desert Uniform, Patches, and Insignia of the US Armed Forces" several years ago.
