flyingtigerfan Posted February 13, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2017 Hi all. Here's an interesting uniform with a wing combo I've never seen before. The veteran was a C-47 pilot with the 375th Troop Carrier Group Tokyo Trolley, 55th Troop Carrier Squadron, 5th Air Force. Uniform has Aussie made 1st Lt bars and a likely Aussie made US pilot wings marked sterling. Over the other pocket is a Korean pilot wing which I have never seen. The pilot did occupation duty in Japan and Korea and was involved with the ferrying of VIPs and helping to get Japan and Korean airlines up and running. -Rob Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pfrost Posted February 13, 2017 Share #11 Posted February 13, 2017 Nice group. If I had to guess, the korean wings are an early variant of the Korean Airlines pilot wing.
