Fort Susquehanna Posted February 12, 2017 Share #5 Posted February 12, 2017 I would guess he was 175th INF if he was overseas. My friend commanded Company F of the 175th in WWII.
everforward Posted February 13, 2017 Share #6 Posted February 13, 2017 The 175th didn't exist in WW1, it became what was the 5th Regt. of Infantry, Maryland NG in 1940-41. John George Ludwig, Balt. MD Pvt., 58th Artillery Brigade, CAC. Part of the 29th at that time..... Served in the Defensive Sector (Lorraine) Overseas 5/22/18-4/27/19 Hope this helps. Cool group. Thanks again! No prob. Yeah that's him. Before it was the 58th, his unit was 2nd Co., CAC, MD Natl. Guard. It's worth mentioning that he had a brother, Joseph A., D Co. 115th Infantry, later B Co. 110th MG Bn.
