Mr.Jerry Posted February 10, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 10, 2017 I have this one on the way from one of my pickers, at first I thought it was a 1917, but then seeing the web chinstrap and bit of liner metal I realized it was a A1. Came out of an estate, but no info on owner as of yet. Anyone ever see one like it? Coastal Artillery guys maybe? Or just an 1960's art project? aef1917 Posted February 11, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 11, 2017 It doesn't look like the liner is actually attached. It could be a WWI-era m1917 shell that someone stuck a m1917a1 liner into.
sgtdorango Posted February 11, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 11, 2017 Yeah it looks like there is no nut on top of the helmet?....great looking camo, love these weird geometric camos, they look years ahead of their time....mike
Mr.Jerry Posted February 11, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted February 11, 2017 Hmmm. Good question. I never thought of that. Although finding a A1 one liner is harder than finding a WW1 camo. Supposedly the guy it came from was in WW2. I will know more once I have it in hand. Thanks guys!
