Edelweisse Posted February 5, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2017 Hi Folks: I recently picked this armband up ...it's felt material with snaps. I don't know if it's WWI or WWII or if it's military
firefighter Posted February 5, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 5, 2017 Actually looks like the one I used in the 80's. I'll have to find it.Is there a 'US' medical stamp on the inside, under the Red Cross?

R. Watkins Posted February 5, 2017 Share #6 Posted February 5, 2017 I'd like to tag onto this post for some advise if I may. Attached are images of both sides of an armband worn by an Army Medic who served with the 45thInfDiv during the Korean War. This item was glued into a scrap book put together by this veteran, and unfortunately now shows residue stains where the adhesive (probably Elmer's Glue) was applied. If this adhesive was in fact Elmer's, or a similar water soluble glue, these stains might possible be removed via a good soaking in plain water. Should I give this a shot or just leave this artifact alone as is? Also, the arm band fell out of the scrapbook of its own accord. Should this item be remounted in the scrapbook in it's original location using an acid free museum quality adhesive, or just leave it loose as when I first acquired this book? Thanks for any guidance on this matter.
Edelweisse Posted February 5, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted February 5, 2017 Hi: We're all learning.......here are the additional pictures. When I bought this...it was with a bunch of WWI and WWII items which this young lady had on her table at an antique show...priced to move. The snaps are hallmarked..."Rau Klikit"
