Bought a fatigue shirt cheap from an antique store, has an 8th infantry division patch on the shoulder, wanted to know if it is authentic. Thoughts?post-165196-14861644338661.jpgpost-165196-14861644468197.jpg

It's authentic, but not from WWII. It's probably from the late 60's-early 70's. Could you show a photo of the tags?

Sorry, meant to put question mark in the title because I wasn't sure it was, just had "wwii fatigue shirt" on the sale tag, and when I researched 8th ID, didn't think it'd be vietnam era because they weren't there. Realize now they were still activated then, just not in country. Also, no tags, markings or anywhere where one used to be. seems I run into that that issue a lot with the gear I have haha.

We were "in country".... just it was a different country! Germany rather than Vietnam.

It's right as rain, but normally it would of had a US Army tape and a name tape over the pockets.
