Phfly1010 Posted February 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2017 Anyone knowledgeable about how much the khaki USAAF K-1 flight suit was used in WWII? I have an nice AN-15 helmet and A-14 oxygen mask, and want to pair it with a PTO fighter pilot flight uniform. Have a chance at an excellent K-1 for around $110 locally, but want to make sure of its use in PTO by P-51/38/47 fighter jockeys that was documented before end of WWII. Pics of K-1 being used would be great. Was going to get an ANS-31/6550, but saw this in such good shape. Thanks all!
General Colt Posted February 3, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2017 I am not sure how much the K1 was used in WWII. As far as i know they were used in the Med and in the PTO. Fighter pilots in the ETO i am not sure if they wore them. But I am sure that they were used in the PTO. I have a dyed green K1 I got from a friend and he sent me scan of some info on the K1. I can PM you if you want those scans.
