Hello Fellow Collectors,

Today I bought a Box of Military items, This type plate was inside, like to put it with my WW2 Air Force Insignia. But want to know more about it, Can someone tell me if the actual plane can be traced with this plate and from wich part it came from?

On both sides of the part number are digits stamped upside down

42 and 1215.

Hope somebody know where I cabn find the info. Thanks in advance.

I couldn't tell you what exact aircraft it came off of, but Briggs was a auto manufacturing company in Detroit. More then likely that is off a flap/bay door or the Ball turret.

here is a good reference tool for manufacturing locations that are listed on the plates
