101st wing? Has anyone ever seen something like this one?

Grabbed this off eBay because it was so unique, but I have not had any luck with researching it. Anyone have any ideas? It looks like a 101st eagles head, and it looks old and like it came off a uniform.

 

Any ideas or assistance is appreciated!

Thanks Gil, it may well be. Not into it for much so no big deal, but initially I thought it might just be a unique or one off prototype wing....wishful thinking I guess

Back in the 50's we had a comic book hero called "Blackhawk". He and his men wore dark blue uniforms and a large yellow circle on the chest with a head of a hawk in black on their chest. They worked out of a cave in the mountains and flew black jets to save the world from the evil menace from the north. This looks just like that emblem that represented his group. Just taking a shot in the dark but might be a starting point for your search for info.
