I just acquired the same patch last week but it has not been cut down. I asked Dennis if I can post it here so that everybody could see the two different versions and he said go right ahead.

Mason,

It wasn't supposed to be cut down. Round patches such as these were made too.

Dennis, Mason,

Take good care of these... these are one of a kind! Beautiful pieces

Hans is correct.

The 45th ID Museum in OKC has several round versions, both loose and on uniforms.

Do you also have a scan?

I believe there were 2 High Schools in San Antonio , which one are you referring too?

The colours Gold and Red refer to Arizona, does one of the HS ROTC have the same colours?

Hans,

The owner could have had the patch and not used it till they changed the design and then cut it down. I sold 6 round bottom WW2 90th Div. to some Tough Ombre stationed in Afghanistan a few years back, he asked me to have velcro sewn on them so they could wear them.

I know, Pat. Every owner can do what they want with their patches. But originally they were made in that specific shape.

Velcro...Really? On original WW2 patches? That's a thought... :-)

Since we are talking about pre WWII 45th ID patches here is on that is listed on EBay for BIN $315.00. Take a look at the return threads. Thoughts and comments are always appreciated.

Not 45th and seller is being cagey. The swastika is clearly white (on the back) and dirty on the front/.

Broken record time again. If u use The Trading Post Index, you'll find this in the O-D 1999 issue, page 23. It was even printed in color.

It's Main HS JROTC.
