FT.Monmouth1943 Posted January 15, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 15, 2017 The middle looks like the early version of the occupation ribbon. Nice find.

Edelweisse Posted January 16, 2017 Share #5 Posted January 16, 2017 Nice to see the purse ...difficult item since the vet's continued to use them in civilian life. As far as W.A.C. medal being in the middle....the picture doesn't give it justice. Still very nice group
cutiger83 Posted January 16, 2017 Share #6 Posted January 16, 2017 It is the W.A.C. medal though yes it is hard to tell with the picture. it is hard to tell n your picture but it does not look like the WAAC ribbon. The WAAC ribbon was green with gold trim. The trim in your picture looks white not gold. It does look like the occupation ribbon in your picture. I apologize for the photo, the tread she used to sew the bar was a very light yellow that refuses to show up on my camera no matter what I try. Though I am very sorry for the trouble and thanks for the interest. The grouping also included two shirts, the skirt and her husband's uniform . cutiger83 Posted January 16, 2017 Share #8 Posted January 16, 2017 I apologize for the photo, the tread she used to sew the bar was a very light yellow that refuses to show up on my camera no matter what I try. Though I am very sorry for the trouble and thanks for the interest. The grouping also included two shirts, the skirt and her husband's uniform . No problem. This is why it is always best to look at things in person. It is a very nice uniform! Congrats!
