WW2 A-11 modified for KW maybe ?

My wife got it for me for Christmas.. of course at the antique mall they said it was '100% original ww2'. She felt badly that they probably misrepresented it.

It is WW2. Late war would have cloth strap,not leather. Snaps are for a OD A-1 cloth visor.Other mods were a elastisized gusset in the rear.

I've looked and can not find any info on tag.

8415 is the stock class for clothing...IIRC...aside from the added tag and the wire untaped...looks like a nice A-11....tag could be a post war reissue tag..

I recently picked up a very similar helmet, with the same newer tag.  This one has had the headphones' wires sewn in.  I also noticed on mine, and then going back and looking at the photos of the one in the OP that the new tag was just sewn over the original tag.
