BROBS Posted January 15, 2017 Author #2 Posted January 15, 2017 My wife got it for me for Christmas.. of course at the antique mall they said it was '100% original ww2'. She felt badly that they probably misrepresented it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
72psb Posted January 15, 2017 #3 Posted January 15, 2017 It is WW2. Late war would have cloth strap, not leather. Snaps are for a OD A-1 cloth visor.Other mods were a elastisized gusset in the rear.
BROBS Posted January 15, 2017 Author #4 Posted January 15, 2017 What about that tag inside? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
72psb Posted January 16, 2017 #5 Posted January 16, 2017 I've looked and can not find any info on tag.
phantomfixer Posted January 16, 2017 #6 Posted January 16, 2017 8415 is the stock class for clothing...IIRC...aside from the added tag and the wire untaped...looks like a nice A-11....tag could be a post war reissue tag..
5thwingmarty Posted May 10, 2025 #7 Posted May 10, 2025 I recently picked up a very similar helmet, with the same newer tag. This one has had the headphones' wires sewn in. I also noticed on mine, and then going back and looking at the photos of the one in the OP that the new tag was just sewn over the original tag.
