Model 1914-1922 Service Emblem

I call these the straight wing variation. While there are some subtle variations from manufacturer to manufacturer, only the real experts can tell who was making what during the period. Hallmarks were not a standard for the period. These can be found in; Guilt brass, Bronze, Blackened and even some in nickel plate for various occasions. These are the most commonly found on helmets of the period and WW1. Any other pattern is likely not original the piece.
