USAF Hearing Protector?

Recommended Posts

I picked these up for next to nothing a couple months ago. I've tried to find another example of these but no luck. Can anyone shed some light on their age, use, etc.? Any and all comments are greatly appreciated!

No idea. but if had to guess 1960's?? early 1960s...maybe late 50s....I figure in the 1950s they didn't care much about hearing loss anyway, but with Jet engines and accountability the USAF needed a good ear protector....

I like em...neat piece of early USAF flightline gear

I managed to scrounge up another reference. According to this site they're called aural protectors, sound.
