ID Of USN Squadron Patch on M422A? VF-901

I picked this M422A up a couple of years ago and I can not identify the squadron patch on the chest. The jacket is has a USN name tag and a twill type squadron patch. Can anybody ID the patch for me? I would appreciate any help. thanks Mike

Interesting patch.I really like the design.Not sure of the ID.Sometimes the Reserve units can be tough to pin down.

when I first saw the patch I was not even sure the patch was military but it matches same thread the name tag was attached to the jacket with. It also appears to be similar in construction to other 50's era squadron patches I have seen..

As Jeffro said, around from 52-55. Stationed at NAS Spokane, WA. Flew Bearcats and later Cougars. Can't be too many around, nice jacket!

That is great news, NAS Spokane was a very short lived air station and is located in my home town.
