Croix de Guerre Posted October 4, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2008 Hi, I am looking to find a good example of an SE5a to display with a uniform group I have. I would like to find a larger (say 16inch wing span) model to use for educational displays. If any one would be interested in contracting with me to build such a model, I would like to speak with you further. Any help you all might offer would be greatly appreciated. mpguy80/08 Posted October 4, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 4, 2008 I think Roden puts out a 1/32nd scale Se5a... try http://www.greatmodels.com/... Specifically this one... Roden ROD 0607, SE5a with Woseley Viper. Once you dig into the site and start perusing the sections, the navigation will be very easy. Here are a few reviews of this kit... http://www.largescaleplanes.com/reviews/Ki.../SE5a/SE5a.html http://www.modelingmadness.com/reviews/w1/previews/607.htm http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/modules.php?...ent&id=3023 As far as I know, this is the largest plastic kit of this aircraft, so unless you want to build a balsa wood model, this would be the way to go I think. Keep in mind that these are small aircraft, even in this relatively large scale. From what I've read about the kit, there are no rigging instructions for what was in real life a heavily rigged plane, so gather your reference materials for the rigging... Hope this helps.
