When I interviewed Iwo Jima MoH recipient "Woody" Williams, one of the things that struck me the most about him was his humility and how he deflected the crediit and honor he recieves to the Marines who he served with that didn't make it home.

Was that interview done recently? If so, he's aging really well. That's one modest hero but most of those MOH recipients seem to be just like that. Impressive.

Yes, I did the interview in April of this year. He sure is standing strong for his age!

Well, I know the executive directer of the 1st Division Museum near us, and he knows contacts a Pritzker Military Library in Chicago. Pritzker is where Woody's original Medal is, so I knew they would have his contact info. So, I contacted Paul Herbert, the executive directer of 1st Div. Museum, and he in turn emailed Pritzker, who in turn gave Woody's family my contact info and that is how I got a hold of him.
