Salvage Sailor Posted December 12, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 12, 2016 Aloha Everyone, A couple of photos circa June 1941 taken at Waianae on maneuvers. 55th CAC (AA) based at Fort Kamehameha, T.H. The first is a doggie in profile with his gear on. The second shows a BAR ammo bearer/gunner with his sidearm. In the first photo, are those Medical Kits? If they are, I don't see a yoke. I've also attached a photo of a medical kit display, also from the 55th CAC (AA) at Ft. Kamehameha, which shows a different clasp on the medical kit bags. iron bender Posted April 5, 2017 Share #3 Posted April 5, 2017 Yes, in the first profile pic that is a medic's bag. On the bottom of the bag you can see the laces. These bags can be worn full length or half length. Great photos
