roadrunner Posted November 26, 2016 Share #6 Posted November 26, 2016 @Gerradtgrant Hello You post a USAF officer cap badge. Why did you bought it ? Do you have any connection to the USAF ? Does it looks interesting ? Is it part of a USAF collection ? For general, the newer the badges, more worse is the quality, the cheaper they are. If you are looking for older badges you should look for items prior 1945. In that area you would find sterling items 10K gold filled. Manufacturer ? e.g. Luxenberg or K.G. Luke ( care before fakes ) If you read the topics in this forum you will have the knowledge in a short time. Michael
TheMariner Posted November 26, 2016 Share #7 Posted November 26, 2016 Yeah i would agree with roadrunner Luxenberg, KG Luke examples are two of the most desirable. But just like anything that is desirable there are tons of fakes! Do your reading before buying them!
flyboy53 Posted January 7, 2018 Share #8 Posted January 7, 2018 So now you should add this device to a service hat, guessing either Shade 84 or 1549.
