Persian Gulf Command Posted November 23, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 23, 2016 Was anyone following this camo M42 on EBay. It went for a substantial price and had a lot of interest. Is it the real deal? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Estate-Paratrooper-Jump-Jacket-from-First-Airborne-Task-Force-France-Italy-/112205262781?hash=item1a1ff46fbd:g:dAIAAOSwiONYKv~
Ronny67 Posted November 23, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 23, 2016 Looks fake as a 3 dollar bill to me
Ronny67 Posted November 23, 2016 Share #3 Posted November 23, 2016 Might be the photos but the jacket looks like an aged reproduction to me. The wear does not look right. Here is one for comparison.
Persian Gulf Command Posted November 23, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted November 23, 2016 Ron, Is the photo you posted a "buggered-up" camo or one that is considered legit?

63 RECON Posted November 24, 2016 Share #6 Posted November 24, 2016 Paint looks pretty ingrained into the fabric, right colors as well. Anyone do any research on the laundry number?
deros Posted November 24, 2016 Share #7 Posted November 24, 2016 Looks like the style modified for op dragoon in Aug 44, including the bare bit at the neck where troopers wearing cardboard boxes on their head stood and got sprayed wearing the uniforms black and green. Easy enough to reproduce, I've done it authentically myself some years ago
Beau-Brummel Posted November 25, 2016 Share #8 Posted November 25, 2016 It looked great, I bid it up to two and a half. Would have gone higher but I,m out of the country with very dodgy wi fi.
