12A54 Posted November 21, 2016 #1 Posted November 21, 2016 "The Great War" - Wow, this looks like it is going to be a very good mini-series. Set to air in April 2017 on the 100th anniversary of the US entering the War: http://www.worldwar1centennial.org/index.php/communicate/2015-12-28-18-24-34/video-library/1579-video-episode-template-2.html?utm_source=US+World+War+1+Centennial+Commission+Publications&utm_campaign=3210053a76-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2016_11_20&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_c80ebdb67d-3210053a76-177204437&mc_cid=3210053a76&mc_eid=4a540a781a
ajbUSWM Posted November 21, 2016 #2 Posted November 21, 2016 PBS ... fingers crossed that it is fair and honest (but I doubt it). Like start with an extensive expose on President Woodrow Wilson... not a good man. They don't even teach WWI in schools anymore. That needs to change.
Garandomatic Posted November 21, 2016 #3 Posted November 21, 2016 WWI is a pretty major standard for us in the Land of Buckeyes. You'd like how I teach about Wilson
RustyCanteen Posted November 21, 2016 #4 Posted November 21, 2016 It will be interesting to see if this series focuses on more than the mid-late 1918 US participation, and instead also focuses on the industry, neutrality, and AEF of 1917.
The Meatcan Posted November 21, 2016 #5 Posted November 21, 2016 Looking forward to it on PBS. Always great programs. Terry
