The woman was a WAC assigned to the Awards and Decorations Section, Adjutant General's Office, 5th Army HQ. She served in North Africa and Italy. Her husband served in the 130th Ordnance Maintenance Battalion, 8th Armored Division. He served in Germany and Czechoslovakia. This was all I could find with some basic research but I hope to find out more!

I did a little digging and found a couple of items that might interest you.

Robert listed as Tec 5 with Co A of the 130th Ord: http://www.8th-armored.org/books/130-Arm-Ord.pdf

I was able to find his wife and her maiden name was Mendenhall. Here is a link to some info about her from the Truman Library: https://www.trumanlibrary.org/photographs/view.php?id=48210

And her NARA file: https://aad.archives.gov/aad/record-detail.jsp?dt=893&mtch=1&cat=WR26&tf=F&sc=24994,24995,24996,24998,24997,24993,24981,24983&bc=sl,fd&txt_24994=801191&op_24994=0&nfo_24994=V,8,1900&rpp=10&pg=1&rid=104646

Thanks for the information! I had turned up her maiden name but not the photo. Apparently she was an enlisted WAC and later became an officer: the dog tags have the same serial number but with an "L" prefix instead of "A".
