nirvana Posted November 17, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 17, 2016 I collect guidons, and had been looking for a medical one for quite a while. This turned up online so I had to grab it. Flag is dated 1942 and is in very good shape, only a few minor holes. Pole sleeve is green on the inside. The 375th was attached to the 75th infantry and saw action from December 1944 on in Europe, being thrown into action for the Battle of the Bulge. This is a grouping of some sort, but no information was attached. There is a flag, a homemade looking red cross banner, a 75th Infantry patch, and a medical collar device. Through some google work, I found a photo of the unit. Sadly, the guidon is not in the picture. I have one or two guidons with a period photo, but alas, it wasn't in the cards this time. David D Posted November 18, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 18, 2016 Very nice grab. At least it's in good hands. Still kinda bummed about losing it tho
nirvana Posted November 18, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted November 18, 2016 You almost won it. I had another $5 or so in it when the auction ended. But yes, I'll do my best to take care of it. A shame that the owner's name is gone.
